I have been looking all over the net for the archive ever since and Im glad that I found a huge chunk of it here. I have run into a problem which I guess a lot of users here may be eligible to answer

The folder of converts has the original cds converted into wav files whilst preserving the original folder structure. is there a way to recompress/recombine it into the OG sampler format?

why?

I have an akai sampler that can read legacy formats. however, there's no way to tell my sampler the original mappings of the program/patch contained within the various banks/partitions. and the sample files are so huge in number that it's impractical to drag and drop/assign each file to a key in an editor.

thank you and god bless!
i don't know why, but it seems to be a common practice when sharing rips of these CDs on the internet to convert them to WAV. it's exceedingly difficult to find rips of the libraries in their original formats. the original collection on the internet archive had this problem too.

ideally, i'd like to have each library in WAV and in their original formats. eventually i will go digging for more of the original rips and upload what i can find.

if you really wanted to i think you can use CDXTRACT or ESC to convert them to the proper format for hardware samples, but you won't have anything to work with as far as loop points or mapping, you would have to do it yourself.

Look, I can only post how goddamn thankful I am for this upload—and that doesn't even begin to describe how goddamn happy I am you uploaded all this. (If only I had a way to store the full collection in an HDD without it wanting to die lol.)

Ninturez should be the King of the Internet for sure.

How do I go and upload more content? I have come upon the ACID DJ 2.0 sample pack which has a lot of 90s sample content from Eurotech and Sonic Foundry.

i've been planning on letting people upload shit but to be quite honest i have no idea what i am doing. ideally i want just a FTP account with access to a single directory for people who wish to contribute to this little internet corner
if you go ahead and upload that wherever you would like to, i will save it :ok:
i have also been working on a second collection full of all the shit that isn't already here, i would love to include it

Here you go: https://mega.nz/file/1PQyiBoY#6K3XMAGXotULUYdvUtDOk1h9R1jC_qi_z7Pw56pdUxA The Loops folder has the content.

Edit: Also - ACID 1.0 content, Sonic Foundry loops for the ACID promotional CD: https://mega.nz/file/XDZ1kaqI#EqcC2whZccLL1hEJ3GoHMc3CKt2GDzEl-h9IeQm04pY

Edit 2: Acid 3.0 https://archive.org/details/acid-3

Seems like the full DJ 2.0 sample pack will be especially useful - it contains a lot of Sounds Good stuff that is missing in this archive.

Is the sample you are looking for "SF Synth Bass 05" from the ACID Rock library?

That's definitely it! I appreciate the help, however, I have found that sample as "treatsynth" in ACID DJ 2.0 already. I would appreciate it if anyone recognizes that synth bass sample starting from 0:43 though.

Also, a few more packs to add to the archive:
Sonic Foundry - ACID Rock

Sonic Foundry - Syntatonic Generator
https://rutracker.org/forum/dl.php?t=1036477
Inis - Signals

Hey guys. I've found a collection of more sample cds with some of them unavailable anywhere else on internet. Unfortunately it's a magnet url and I've tried so badly to download it by myself with no sucess at all. Does anyone would have the kindness to do it so the rest of cds could be added to the main sample cds list.

Here's the link btw. https://en.btdig.com/1fa353b8d2b876ea98c59bc337622d4ead035295/mega-samples-vol=32

Tell me what do you think about that massive collection. ;)

Has anyone gotten the (original) Roland CDs to work with the official S-7xx sample library converter for the Fantom-X? CDXtract opens those CDs fine, even the L-CDX ones but the Roland converter refuses to acknowledge they're in my (virtual) drives. I tried using Alcohol, Virtual CloneDrive and even Daemon Tools iirc before giving up. Haven't tested a physical drive yet since I'm out of SATA cables. Getting it to work would be nice as it doesn't just convert the wavs, it converts the patch data too. People on rolandclan have gotten it to work with the official Roland libraries so it definitely works.

Chickensys translator isn't an option, it pretty garbo when it comes to Fantom stuff.

This collection is an absolute gem. I've been going through the Silent Hill soundtracks and there's a whole ass community dedicated to finding every single sample used in those games. I have now got the majority of packs used but there's just a few that I cannot find anywhere

Zero-G Cuckooland Asylum
Zero-G Skinned
Zero-G Unhinged
Zero-G Smoke
Zero-G Street Level

If anybody could find and share these I would greatly appreciate.

Got it to work in the end. I had to use Daemon Tools lite and set the virtual drive type to IDE. After that I mounted an L-CDP and an L-CDX image and they both worked fine.
Speaking of L-CDX, does anyone have the L-CDX 04 CD?

Hey there, I was the one who shared that link above. I thought I would be really useful for this great topic dedicated to 90`s sample CDs. I'm also a survival horror game music fan such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil mostly, but I became more interested on it when I found out how was the process of making those amazing soundtracks by their respective composers. I might say I've been around too in that community you mentioned before. It's very interesting.

Well, as for the CDs you're looking for, some of them are included in a huge library collection from Zero-G named "Altered State". You can find Cuckooland Ghost in the Machine, Unhinged and Asylum there.

Smoke library is in the compilation torrent from main page.

Skinned library was in the first compilation before it was taken down, but luckily, I found a torrent of this single library. https://archive.org/download/skinned_202109/skinned_202109_archive.torrent

About the last one, "Street Level" I'm pretty sure there never was a download source of that CD around the internet before.
